| Management is questionable. There are just too managers that don't understand the customers needs. There isn’t enough training for employees also |

Allstream
|
Calgary |
| At the time, this company was known as AT&T Canada and it was a difficult place to work. The people were friendly but there were too many managers and not enough workers.
The strategic vision of this company was to expand rapidly without paying attention to the debt that was being accumulated. Naturally, this caused a lot of problems and costs had to be cut. Lots of layoffs occured and perks disappeared resulting in low morale. However, this seems to be the norm for telecom companies.
On the plus side, the salary was ok and there were a lot of transparencies among the workers which made it difficult to slack off.
I left the company a few weeks after it became Allstream and was then purchased by MTS. |

ALS Minerals
|
Sudbury |
| The ALS business model is straight out of the 1920's. They routinely payout skilled workers as "permanently laid off" and replace them with "no experience necessary" labour. This results in never being able to properly staff any of their labs. No one is ever given a reason as to why they were "permanently laid off." Training is pretty well non-exsistent yet qauntity is very much expected under this fear mongering atmosphere. How can you have a qouta system without any sort of production bonus in place? This company is also very bloated with incompotent management, resulting in much redundancy and inefficient policy. |

Amdocs
|
Dorval |
| Amdocs was a really enjoyable place to work with many knowledgeable I.T. staff from developers to SQA Testers. Projects were always a challenge with deadlines to be met. Only negative about Amdocs was that becoming a full-time employee was extremely difficult. |

Americana Resort and Spa

| Executive Housekeeper Patti, and Supervisor Rita are nightmares to work for! They are impossible to please,( constantly changing their mind about how things are to be done, never satisfied) anal retentive, always grouchy. Very discriminating/ mean spirited against people with any kind of disability |

Artona

Vancouver |
| Terrible company to work for. Offer full time hours and a great bonus system. Give everyone less than part time, no bonuses, and treat you like less than a human being. Don't work here. |
